Departing from Bugis MRT Station, we will be going on a walking tour around Bugis and its surrounding neighborhood. This area is basked in the architecture of Singapore’s Mosques and influenced by Islamic Saracenic (mix of Turkish, Persian, Middle Eastern, Classical and Moorish designs), Indian, Malay and Modern styles of architecture.
Kampong Glam is an area in Singapore that has been restored and refurbished, which has breathed new life into it. This has all brought back the former colour and vibrancy of this beautiful area in Singapore. You can find rows of conserved shop houses on the Arab Street and also find beautiful Mosques constructed way back in 1800’s, which surround the area. All Mosques/Masjids in Singapore are administered by Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (MUIS), also known as Islamic Religious Council of Singapore.
On this Singapore food tour, indulge in the culinary delights in the form of all the local halal delicacies such as Chinese, Indian, Arab & Malay Muslim cuisine. This food tour will include a local breakfast, delicious snacks & lunch so be prepared with an empty stomach and your walking shoes for this tour!
